Electro hydraulic thrusters
Kateel’s electro-hydraulic thrusters, come with powerful motors designed to support your application. The stalled thrust of thrusters is high, and the thrusters come pre-filled with 1.5 litres of specially formulated hydraulic oil that performs reliably across a wide temperature range.
Composition and working :
A hydraulic thrustor contains an AC electric motor running at speeds up to 3000 rpm. The output shaft of the motor is fitted to the impellor in the thrustor cylinder. The cylinder is made of cast iron and the oil chamber is made out of aluminium. The cylinder is ground finished for the movement of the piston. The impellor housing and the impellor are made out of aluminium casting. The piston rod is made out of alloy steel EN 24 fully machined and ground.
When the motor is rotating at high speed the hydraulic oil around the impellor is forced to push the piston upwards. The impellor is designed to cater the required force to the piston so that the force is sufficient to release the brake. The thrustor chamber cover is provided with a filling port and a breather.
Power supply required for the thrustor motor is 415 V. 3 phase and 50 Hz.
