Railway brake blocks
KFPRB/A-0001

General Description :

Kateel KFPRB/A-0002 is one of the Kateel ranges of Non-Asbestos based friction material. It is a compressive moulded product, Black / Greenish in color, and having a mixture of fillers of copper, iron and non-metallic substances.

The Railway Brake Blocks are manufactured out of friction material having co-efficient of friction of 0.4 with a steel back plate and is available for locomotive as well as bogie / coaches. The drawing of the brake block shown is used by Tata steel at Jamshedpur for their 120-ton diesel loco. This can also be manufactured to suit the requirement of Indian railways.
